What is exactly waxing?

Waxing is a form of hair removal that removes the entire hair from the hair follicle. Warm wax is applied to the waxing area. Then a wax strip is used to remove it.

Why do Ladies get waxed?

Women opt for a bikini wax session for various reasons, some may include personal hygiene, grooming, and also for the sake of fashion. Waxing pulls the hair out by the root, so it grows back softer, finer, and thinner. The more you wax, the less hair grows back.

What is the difference between a Brazilian wax and Bikini wax?

The bikini wax removes the pubic hair that is visible outside of your bikini line which included the area not covered by the swimsuit bottoms on the upper leg and inner thighs. Whereas the Brazilian wax removes everything off right from the front to the back, which includes also the area between the butt cheeks.

How long does my hair have to be before wax?

Hair needs to be at least ¼” to ½” for effective waxing.

Any suggestion after waxing?

  • Avoid the sun immediately after waxing and please wear sun screen; recently waxed areas are prone to hyperpigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin) if exposed to the sun.

  • Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours after waxing.

  • Do not use exfoliating products or scrubs for at least 24 hours after waxing as they might further irritate your skin.

  • Avoid tight clothing after waxing, especially in the waxed areas. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs.

  • Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimize irritation.

  • Hot baths, hot showers, swimming or steam rooms are not recommended within 12 hours after waxing. While your pores are open, they are vulnerable to irritation by the extreme temperatures and infection by bacteria.
