What is a Manzilian?
Manzilian is a contraction of "Male Brazilian Wax".
It includes removal of hair from bikini line, shaft, groin, scrotum ("SACK"), and the peri-anal region between the buttocks ("CRACK")
Why do men get waxed?
Waxing leaves you feeling smooth and groomed. Most of all men find it heightens their self-image and sexual prowess. They can also find it to be more hygienic. They feel more comfortable and confident with their naked body. We hear the sex is better, and this makes sense as the skin without any hair has an increased sensation and sensitivity.
How the Manzilian is done?
After the consultation, the therapist will prepare whole waxing area is cleansed and disinfected. The long hair is clipped and trimmed if necessary, and then wax is applied in sections. While waxing, the skin is pulled taught, you may be asked to stretch certain areas. Once the waxing is completed, an after cooling and moisturizing solution is applied to help soothe the area and remove stickiness.
To have your sack waxed, you'll have to lie on your back with your knees bent and in the air in order to allow the waxer to apply wax around the testicles. Warm wax sticks to the skin and hair whereas the wax will only pull off the hairs.
For the crack, you will be asked to get on all fours (doggy style); the waxer will then pull apart the cheeks, spread the wax and pull in the opposite direction.
After waxing, a soothing calming lotion may be applied to soothe and reduce any redness. The results are really worth it - a smooth hair-free finish to impress any lucky person you might want to show.
How long does wax take?
This does depend on the density of the hair growth; the treatment can take between 40 minutes to an hour.
Will I be wearing anything when I have a wax?
You will be given a towel to cover yourself with, the towel is then used to keep your modesty covered. Technician will need to uncover you from your towel as each part is waxed but will replace the towel again to preserve your modesty.
How often the wax sessions are required?
Four to Eight weeks is the average time in between waxing.
Are there any side effects of waxing and how can they be minimized?
Avoid the sun immediately after waxing and please wear sun screen; recently waxed areas are prone to hyperpigmentation (permanent darkening of the skin) if exposed to the sun.
Avoid heavy exercise for at least 24 hours after waxing.
Do not use exfoliating products or scrubs for at least 24 hours after waxing as they might further irritate your skin.
Avoid tight clothing after waxing, especially in the waxed areas. Tight clothing may result in irritation and ingrown hairs.
Routine waxing helps the skin get accustomed to the procedure and may minimize irritation.
Hot baths, hot showers, swimming or steam rooms are not recommended within 12 hours after waxing. While your pores are open, they are vulnerable to irritation by the extreme temperatures and infection by bacteria.
